My OTP’s

My OTP’s

Hello and happy Wednesday. I have a cold from hell, which made me get up early this morning, even though it’s a Sunday, and take a shower because showers are the only thing that helps me not feel like shit. That means I have a ton of time, so obviously I’m using it to catch up on posts. Today, I’ll share with you my top three OTP’s from books I’ve read this year. Let’s get started, shall we?

Harry and Ginny from the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling

This year I read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which if I’m not mistaken is the book where Harry and Ginny’s love blooms. I’d never shipped the movie characters, but the way their romance starts in the book is awesome. Also, I totally adore Harry’s sassy attitude, that is met with Ginny’s wits. They’re perfect for each other in a non-cheesy way.

Harper and David from Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins

I’ve already talked about this two a bit, once when I did the review of this novel, and then I went in and talked about David on my Boy Crushes post, but this is such an adorable couple that I’ll go ahead and feature them in this post too. Just as with Harry and Ginny, I love both Harper’s and David’s personalities separately. Harper is a badass and David is just the cutest, quirkiest guy ever, and together they just make sense. Yes, I think that later on in the series they’ll experience some turbulence, but in the end I think they’ll make it. No spoilers, please.

Emma and literally every guy that crosses her way from Emma by Jane Austen

Poor Emma’s love life is an absolute mess, but I’ve known women like her, who are always attracting the wrong men at the wrong time, and then when the men lose interest, that’s when they, the women, start checking them out. I’m listening to the audiobook and I’m not done yet, so I might be surprised at the end, but what I’ve listened so far has had me very confused. In my mind, every guy that comes near Emma could be the perfect fit for her: first Mr. Elton, then Frank Churchill, and obviously Mr. Knightly. I’ literally change my mind every time a guy comes into the scene because I think “yes, this is it!” and then he isn’t. My poor little heart has suffered as much as Emma’s, but I’m still hopeful that she’ll find love.

What are your bookish OTP’s? Tell me about them in the comments below.

Happy reading!

My Top 3 Crushes

My Top 3 Crushes

100th.png

Hello and happy Wednesday. I was going to name this my “Top 3 Boy Crushes,” but one of my candidates is not a boy but a man, and calling it my “Top 3 Man Crushes” sounds kinda wrong, don’t you think? It’s a Wednesday, so of course these crushes I’ll be telling you about are totally and completely fictional. As I told you, I have a man in my list, which means I’ll leave him for last. Let’s get started, shall we?

David Stark from Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins

David Stark to me is the kind of nerdy guy you fall head over heels in love during your senior year in high school because he’s just so mature and quirky and charming and beyond all that school bs that all you want to do is cuddle and play video games and watch nerdy movies with him. He’s also the guy you’ll most likely break up with in university because you’ll get the feeling you’re not smart enough for him. But don’t worry, you’ll meet again ten years later and fall madly in love again, this time for good. Who wouldn’t want that?

Caleb from What Light by Jay Asher

Poor Caleb has a reputation, and as such it’ll be very tough to get your parents to even accept him into the family. That is until they see how he treats you and what an amazing human being he is and always tries to be. Caleb has that small-town mentality, which won’t really fit with your plans of exploring the world, but because he’s just a wonderful human being and he’s convinced you’re soulmates, he’ll encourage you to take that backpacking trip around the world. And once you come back and are ready to settle down, he’ll be waiting for you with a peppermint moccha and open arms.

Charles Walker from The Happy Ever Afterlife of Rosie Potter (RIP) by Kate Winter

Charles has always been in love with you but he’s never told you, and if you don’t push him, he probably never will. He will do anything for you and indeed, without you realizing it, he’s done a lot for you already, as friends. Don’t you think it’s weird that he’s been single for so long, even if you know at least four girls who’d die to be with him? Well, that’s because he only wants to be with YOU, but he’s afraid that you won’t feel the same way and he wouldn’t ruin your friendship for the world. Trust me, telling him your feelings will be the start of the most amazing love story you’ll have in your lifetime. It’ll also be the only one because to Charles, you’re the only woman in the world. Oh, yes, and Charles is totally a *man*.

Which of these guys do you prefer? Let me know in the comments. I’d honestly kill to have either one of them in my life.

Series I Read in 2018

Series I Read in 2018

100th.png

Hello and happy Wednesday. Reading-wise, 2018 was a weird year for me because I decided not to follow any “rules” or challenges, so I basically read whatever I wanted. I know you may be thinking, “well, that should be the whole point of reading,” but I think when you blog sometimes you get more into the content you need to deliver than the actual reading a book for just pleasure and then maybe sharing your thoughts about it. Because it was a weird year, I only really got into three series, so I have one that I read entirely, one that I’m in the process of reading and have been for a couple of years now, and then one I just started.

The series I finished in 2018 is Calendar Girl by Audrey Carlan. I read it in Spanish, but it obviously still counts. It’s mommy porn or erotica or however you want to call it, so if you’re into that, you should definitely check out this series. This author came up with another series called International Guy and I already have the first book in my e-library. I’ll share all my thoughts on it, as always.

I’m still in the process of reading the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling, and I say I’m still in the process because I haven’t yet started reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Still when I do so, I’ll have to read the other books like Quidditch Through the Ages, so I’m not quite done with the series yet.

Finally, I started the Rebel Belle series by Rachel Hawkins. I have only read the first book, but I own the second and have the third one in my wishlist and hopefully I can go through them soon.

What series have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments.

Happy reading!
