My Updated Skin Care Routine

My Updated Skin Care Routine

Hello and happy Sunday. I’m constantly trying new products I get in subscription boxes, which is why it seems like I don’t have a steady skin care routine. However, for the past few weeks, I have been very consistent in my routine and haven’t introduced any new products. Before that changes, I wanted to show you what I use. Let’s get started, shall we?

My pre-makeup morning routine consists of two steps: washing my face and then applying moisturizer. I feel that washing my face prepares my skin for the day, but it also helps remove any leftover makeup from the day before, or residue from the environment. For this, I use the Pore-Fectly Clear Charcoal Face Wash from Good Things. I got it at Marshall’s, so I’m pretty sure it was around the $8 mark.

After I shower, I like to apply moisturizer, again to serve a double purpose. One, is to nourish and protect my skin from makeup, or even just environmental pollution. The other reason is that I want it to by hydrated all the time, and I feel that my skin tends to get too dry if I only wash it and don’t add any moisturizer afterwards. It also gives my face that healthy vibe that helps makeup look 100 times better. My moisturizer is also from Marshall’s, and it must have cost around $7. It’s the Almond Blossom Light-Weight Face Lotion¬†and I’m just head over heels in love with it.

I went back to removing my makeup with wipes because they just make life easier for me. I got a two-pack for $1.75 at Primark while I was in Spain, and I honestly would have gotten more.

After that, I apply my precious L’Oreal Revita-Lift Volume Filler night cream and I’m ready to go to bed. I honestly love this cream because I think it helps my skin be all nourished and healthy and plump. Even when I wake up, I still feel the goodness. I paid like $8 for this at Marshall’s.

This is what I put on my body at night because the rest of my skin needs to be soft and hydrated. This is the L’Occitane Rich Lotion, and I think this is the OG body cream. I got it in Spain for $29.

In the comments below tell me about your skin care routine.

Happy Sunday!

My Night Routine

Hello and happy Sunday. Last week I told you everything about my morning routine, so I thought it would be cool to tell you what I do at night. I’m pretty sure I’d already shared a “get unready with me” kind of post, but I feel that this year my night routine has changed a bit, and I’ve actually added steps, so it makes sense to write an updated post, doesn’t it? Anyway, let’s get into it!

I go to bed pretty early at night, so at around 8:30 on most nights I’m already in the process of falling asleep. I think that’s because my days start too early, so when they’re over so is my energy. That means that my nights actually begin at around 6 pm. To start my night, I always write five things that made me happy that day. This is something I’ve done since Christmas last year and it’s become part of my routine. I wrote a post on that, so check it out if you’re interested.

I usually have dinner at around 7 pm, and it’s always something super light, joined by a cup of tea. I don’t know if I’ve ever said this, but I drink a cup of tea every single day. No, I’m not British, I’m Colombian but I don’t drink coffee (I’m straightedge, remember?).

Because I don’t do any work from school at home, by the time I’m done having dinner, I’m usually done with the day and ready to, well, get unready. I remove my makeup every single day, no matter how tired I am. For that, I use makeup removing wipes most of the days, unless I’m too sweaty from working out, in which case I use micellar water, or unless I’m wearing a lot of makeup, especially a heavy eye look or liquid lipstick, and then I use makeup removing cream. Then, I apply my eye contour gel from Haiko Naturals.

After my makeup is off, I get undressed and apply this slimming gel from Haiko Natural, which is supposed to help make my skin firmer and reduce the appearance of cellulitis. I think it has done it’s job helping tighten the skin a bit, although I still work out, obviously. I apply this gel to my arms, thighs, and belly, which you know it’s a problematic area for me.

I go to bed quite early, check my phone one last time and wait for my dad to call me. Once I’m done talking to my dad on the phone, I turn on airplane mode and read until I’m too tired and fall asleep.

That’s it for my super glamorous nighttime routine. What is your routine like? Let me know!

Happy Sunday!

My Morning Routine

Laser Hair Removal.png¬†Hello and happy Sunday. I’m pretty sure I’ve done posts like this in which I share my daily skin care or makeup routines, but I decided, given that we’re on holiday, that I’m going to share with you everything I do from the moment I wake up to when I leave my house and walk to the bus stop to go for work. I’m going to share my everyday routine rather than my vacation one because the former is more realistic.

I wake up at around 5 am, and I do it by myself, I don’t use alarm clocks or my phone’s alarm to wake up, and immediately after I take my B Complex vitamin. You can click here to check out the post where I talk about my vitamins and why I take them. I then read until 5:30, which is when I get up and go take a shower.

Now, I only wash my hair twice a week, I don’t know if I talked about it in my hair update, but yes, I basically wait until my hair is absolutely disgusting to wash it. This means that on weekdays I don’t wash my hair. I do wash my face every single day, even if I haven’t been wearing makeup. I personally feel awake when I wash my face.

After my shower, I apply a moisturizer. I’m currently using my Haiko Natural moisturizing lotion and I love it because it has SPF. I’m also applying the Haiko Natural eye contour gel and that stuff has been fantastic for the dark circles under my eyes. After that, I get dressed and have breakfast, and while I do that I listen to an audiobook. I’m currently listening to The Harder I Fall by Jessica Gibson and I have a nice little rant coming up soon. I’m never fully dressed if I’m not wearing a bit of body mist of perfume, and you know I have quite a selection of things that smell nice for this section of my routine.

Once I’m dressed, I brush my teeth and my hair and then I accessorize and apply makeup. My makeup consist of a primer, that is usually sunscreen, foundation, bronzer, mascara and lipstick or lip gloss. Blush and eye shadow are optional, and I wear them depending on the time I have and the mood I’m in.

If I have time, I read a bit before leaving. I’m currently reading The Flip Side by Shawn Johnson and A.L Sonnichsen and I’m putting together a review for you. At 6:40 am I leave my house, but not before saying goodbye to my mom, my sister, and my dogs, and then off I go to school.

Now, you tell me, what is your everyday routine like? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Sunday!
