Kevyn Aucoin Beauty

Hello and happy Monday. Today I bring you a look with all the colors, a look that some people might not think appropriate for any social scene and that I wore to go to the movies last Sunday. Hello and happy Monday. Today is clearly not the first time I try this look. In fact, it’s been my go-to for months and I don’t know why I love it so much. Basically, it’s a brown halo eye with an iridescent blue or purple on the center. I know what you’re thinking: what an absolute disaster, but this actually works so nicely, it’s become sort of like my staple eye look of the moment. Below are the steps I followed to achieve it.

  1. Primer
  2. Concealer
  3. Foundation
  4. Powder
  5. Eyebrows
  6. Golden brown (crease)
  7. Iridescent blue (center of the lid)
  8. Brown eyeliner (tightline)
  9. Golden brown (lower lash line)
  10. Mascara
  11. Bronzer
  12. Blush
  13. Highlighter
  14. Nude lipstick

What has been your preferred color combination as of lately? Let me know in the comments.

Happy Monday!

Hello and happy Monday. Sometimes I get this idea in my mind of what I want to do with my makeup and I won’t rest until I’ve executed it. This is exactly the case with today’s makeup look, a purple and pink smokey eye achieved with pencil eyeliners. You know me and you know that I’m extra af, but I also think you can pull this off at more “serious” occasions, even at work. These are the steps I followed:

  1. Primer
  2. Eye primer
  3. Matte brown (crease)
  4. Purple pencil eyeliner (bottom half of the top lid)
  5. Pink pencil eyeliner (top half of the top lid)
  6. Purple eyeshadow (seal purple liner)
  7. Pink eyeshadow (seal pink liner)
  8. Pink eyeshadow (lower lash line)
  9. Mascara
  10. Concealer
  11. Foundation
  12. Powder
  13. Eyebrows
  14. Bronzer
  15. Blush
  16. Pink highlighter
  17. Pink liquid lipstick
  18. Dewy setting spray

Which non-neutrals would you combine for a smokey eye? Let me know in the comments.

Happy Monday!

Hello and happy Monday. Now that I have to wake up super early because of work, I only really do my makeup on the weekends, and hell, I go full glam. Lately I’ve been into looking at tutorials and putting my own twist on the looks, which is why maybe you’ll notice that the order of the steps in today’s makeup is a little different from what I normally do. Today’s look is for those of you who are feeling a bit extra and just want to be bold, brave and beautiful. These are the steps I followed:

Teachers on Friday Makeup Look

Teachers on Friday Makeup Look

Hello and happy Monday. Today’s look is the result of me trying to follow a tutorial and then doing my own thing because that’s way more fun. I think the original look was intended for school, but I think if you’re a student and you do my look, you’ll get in trouble. As I’m sure you know by now, I’m currently teaching high school, and I feel I could totally rock this look on a Friday just to portray how happy I am that the week is over and that I can rest for two days. Here are the steps I followed to achieve this look:

  1. Primer
  2. Foundation
  3. Concealer
  4. Powder
  5. Bronzer
  6. Brows
  7. Black eyeliner (waterline)
  8. Black liquid eyeliner
  9. Gray eyeshadow (lower lash line)
  10. Mascara
  11. Blush
  12. Highlighter
  13. Liquid lipstick
  14. Dewy setting spray

What is your go-to Friday look? Let me know in the comments.

Happy Monday!

Hello and happy Monday. I recently did this look and shared the “making of” via Instagram stories. That’s something I hadn’t done in a while and it felt good. I got the inspiration for this look the night before, just thinking about what colors to use and how to put them together. I’m sure I’ve done versions of it and shared them with you before, but this today is pure glam and I feel like the world has to see it. These are the steps I followed:

  1. Primer
  2. Concealer
  3. Stick contour
  4. Foundation
  5. Powder
  6. Eyebrows
  7. Matte brown (crease)
  8. Purple (eyelid base)
  9. Purple pigment (eyelid)
  10. Dark brown (outer corner)
  11. Purple eyeliner (waterline)
  12. Matte brown (lower lash line)
  13. Purple pigment (lower lash line)
  14. Mascara
  15. Powder contour
  16. Blush
  17. Highlighter
  18. Matte nude liquid lipstick
  19. Brown lip gloss
  20. Dewy setting spray

Now, I used to do looks like this one every weekend (exhausting, I know), and I want you to tell me in the comments what your “weekend makeup” consists of.

Happy Monday!

(Updated) Job Interview Makeup

Hello and happy Monday. I just came back home from a *bad* job interview, and seriously I think only my makeup and outfit went right, everything else, including my possibility of being hired in that place, went basically to hell. Obviously, that’s not what I want to talk about in this post, but particularly the makeup look. I used to have a go-to look for job interviews, but I decided to change things a bit. Here are the steps I followed:

  1. Primer
  2. Concealer
  3. Stick contour
  4. Foundation
  5. Eyebrows
  6. Powder
  7. Burgundy (crease)
  8. Reddish pink (eyelid)
  9. Pink blush (center of the lid)
  10. Black eyeliner (waterline)
  11. Mascara
  12. Powder contour
  13. Pink blush
  14. Pink highlighter
  15. Matte pink liquid lipstick
  16. Nude liquid lipstick (center of the lips)
  17. Dewy setting spray

Do you have any good luck charms for when you go to interviews? Let me know in the comments.

Happy Monday!
