New Jewelry Haul

New Jewelry Haul

Hello and happy Sunday. Today I bring you a jewelry haul because you know that’s something I love, but it had been a while since I’d treated myself in that department. I recently bought some beautiful pieces online from Poesie, which is a Colombian company owned by my best friend’s cousin.

I have known the owner literally since I was a kid, and I have several pieces created by her that my best friend and her family have gifted me. She recently made her website accessible, which you know is ideal for me because I buy basically everything online, so I decided to treat myself.

As you can see, I got three items, two of which come with a little paper explaining the stone used, and she also sent a really nice handwritten note, which I think is just a super thoughtful detail.

Now, before we continue, this store is based in Colombia as far as I know, so I don’t think there’s international shipping, but if you’re around, you should definitely get something. I was in desperate need of a new beginning, so this moon stone collection was just perfect for me. I got the Unuk piedra luna earrings for 29.900 COP ($9.38), the Hoedus bracelet for that same price, and the Alioth ring for 39.900 COP ($12.52).

If you want a full Poesie jewelry haul, or a full jewelry haul regardless of the brand, let me know in the comments below.

Happy Sunday!

Fandom of the Month Unboxing (1/3)

Fandom of the Month Unboxing (1/3)

Hello and happy Sunday. We all know I’m a sucker for both makeup and subscription boxes, but what I probably haven’t told you is that I’m also obsessed with jewelry, even more so if it’s fandom jewelry.

That’s actually one of the reasons why I wanted to try Fandom of the Month in the first place, and I think the name is self-explanatory. Another reason why I was interested was the price point, and I mean, if $13 a month for a box filled with jewelry goodies is not an amazing deal for you, I seriously don’t know what is.

I paid for a three-month subscription a long time ago, but only recently got my first box. I’m not sure what month it was for, but I know the theme was Merlin.

Let’s start with the non-jewelry items, okay? First I got a magnet, which I think is super cute, so it’s now next to my Eva Perón magnet on my board at home. I believe everything came inside a pretty little bag, which now holds some mini-pens I was given last year on Love and Friendship Day (which is the Colombian equivalent of Saint Valentine’s, if you were wondering).

Now, for the accessories, let me start with the ones I haven’t worn yet, that is, the earrings. I really like the red and gold, and I think I could totally pull them off during the holidays for parties. They are a little bit too big for my taste, considering that my ears are filled with piercings, so I guess when I wear them, I’ll have to wear smaller pieces so that everything looks nice and not too crammed. They’re a bit heavy as well, but that’s because of their size.

I’ve already worn and absolutely swear by the other items. I love the quote on the bracelet, which goes “None of us can choose our destiny and none of us can escape it.” I know the theme is Merlin, but doesn’t that quote have a Game of Thrones kinda vibe to it? It also has a dragon charm, which obviously reminded me of Daenerys, so that’s obviously a plus. I have wide wrists, but the bracelet fit perfectly.

The sword-in-the-stone necklace is just beautiful and super classy. I layered it with a shorter gold necklace and it looked amazing. I’m really picky with necklaces, but this one is just how I like them, long so I don’t feel like I’m choking, and big enough but not incredibly flashy or chunky.

Finally we have the ring, which I’d seen over at Instagram. It is probably the most extra item I know, and for that reason I adore it. I mean, it’s an actual 3-D castle, it doesn’t get any better than that. It is big, but it’s not the biggest ring I own. There was a time when I decided I’d collect chunky rings, and let me tell you, this isn’t chunky at all, at least for me. It is big enough, though, to wear it by itself, or maybe with smaller rings on your other fingers, which is how I wear it.

I’m obsessed with jewelry and fandom boxes, so if you know of any you think I should try, let me know in the comments.

Happy Sunday!
