Series Saturday: Accidentally in Love

GOING ON (4).png

Hello and happy Saturday. There’s this trope in romance novels that I’m not sure how to feel about. It’s the “pretend dating” kinda deal, and I just don’t know whether I love it or I hate it.

I think the first book that I read with this trope was book one in the Accidentally in Love series by Cindi Madsen. I don’t know, to me, it’s all too predictable, and I know that’s pretty much the point of romance, but I’d rather read a romance that made me think a little bit more.

Falling for Her Fiancé (Book #1)

I read this book between December 12th and December 14th, 2015 and gave it the standard four stars. This is the novel that features the “pretend lovers” trope, but I don’t think the other ones are like that. I guess we’ll see.

I currently don’t own any books from this series that I have yet to read.

Act Like You Love Me (Book #2)

An Officer and a Rebel (Book #2.5)

Resisting the Hero (Book #3)

What are your thoughts regarding the “pretend date” trope? Let me know in the comments below.

Happy reading!

Love, Miss Camila
