Hello and happy Tuesday. Relax, everybody. I’m neither a nutritionist nor a fit expert. I am a person whose diet consist basically of carbs and I’m not here to teach anybody what to eat. I’m doing this post because one day I was talking to someone and they told me that they had a sandwich every day for lunch, and I realized that I’m used to eating like a queen because the schools I’ve worked at provide me with delicious food, but many people aren’t that lucky. What I’m sharing today is what I normally eat in a weekday. Let’s get started, shall we?
I have breakfast as I’m getting dressed, and I’m super lucky because my mom is the one who makes it for me. As I said before, my diet is basically carbs, so that’s what I start my day with. A standard breakfast food for me is grilled cheese. I don’t like hot beverages in the morning because I’m in a rush so I don’t have the time or patience to wait for them to cool down enough for me to drink, so I usually drink either almond milk or juice.
Yes, I’m lucky enough to have a mid-morning snack. Yesterday we were given cake, some days we get bread, and we always get baked goods of the sort. I don’t drink anything with my snack, but I’m constantly drinking water throughout the day.
A Colombian lunch, and specifically a Colombian school lunch will for sure get you full and ready to teach the last two hours of class. I usually have one or two carbs, so for example today I had potatoes and rice. The protein for me is vegetarian. One day I was given falafel, and I usually had beans or lentils. Of course, a balanced meal requires salad, and fruit, and because I’m a child I always get dessert. With that, I drink juice.
I have my afternoon snack at home, which consists of chips, a mini cake, and juice.
I eat for dinner what I would for breakfast, but I obviously go for something different to what I ate in the morning.
Do your meals of the day look anything like mine? Tell me about them in the comments below.
Love, Miss Camila
