Emergency Skin Care

Emergency Skin Care

Hello and happy Sunday. I spent last week in Baltimore going through some final details before I move there in a few weeks. I thought I’d brought all of my essentials, but it turns out I forgot a bag at home where I keep my toiletries, so I didn’t have anything to remove my makeup or any face wash. I didn’t have a moisturizer, but thought I could do without it for just five days.

I went to CVS and got myself a pack of seven makeup removing wipes from Neutrogena. I’m pretty sure this is the original formula, but if I’m wrong, let me know.

At home I have the Neutrogena Deep Clean wipes, which are oil free, which must mean that the original ones do have oil on them? I don’t know, I felt that the original wipes made the makeup removing process easier. I felt that I didn’t have to make a great effort to get everything out, and that I wasn’t just getting rid of makeup but other signs of the environmental pollution, which is always a problem for me when I go to the States. The first time I used them, though, I did feel that my face was oily. I washed it afterwards to get rid of the sensation, but if you’re into that because you feel that the oils can nourish your skin or whatever, I’d recommend to massage the face afterwards with clean hands, as you’d do after removing a sheet mask.

I also got the L’Oreal Age Perfect cream cleanser. I was going to get the RevitaLift, which is my one true love when it comes to face washes, but the Age Perfect was cheaper. I really love how cream cleansers feel on the skin as opposed to gel or even foam. This has a scent that I thought was kind of heavy, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive.

On my second day of washing my face with this day and night, I realized it said “for mature skin,” so now my mom has a new face wash, and she thinks it smells amazing.

Have you tried any of these products? What is your favorite face wash? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Sunday!

Love, Miss Camila
