Hello and happy Friday. I think it’s very easy to give me presents I’ll like because I like so many different things. Last Christmas I decided to take pictures of the presents I got so that I could haul them. Let’s get started, shall we?
Okay, so first and foremost I must clarify that I get to have two Christmases each year because my parents are divorced. This first picture is from the Christmas celebration with my dad’s family. My dad had already given me the money to pay for a test I had to take (the money was for clothes, but, well, priorities), but he still surprised me with a book called Los amores de Nishino by Hiromi Kawakami. I also got the Spanish version of Darker by E.L James from my dad’s wife. She knows me well. My uncle was the one who got me L’Ile Noire because I used to love Tintin when I was learning French many years ago. My grandparents got me that cute bracelet, and my aunt, who lives in the States, sent me the lip tattoos. Finally, my siblings and my dad’s wife got me that cute bag, which has an opening so that you can insert it in your suitcase handle.
Christmas with my mom’s family was also full of surprises, and indeed I only knew of the existence of two presents. I’m talking about the Chloé set, which was a present from my mom, and the unicorn power bank, from my grandparents. I knew about them because they gave me the money to buy them while we were on holiday in the States. The cup next to the Chloé box was a present from my sister’s boyfriend, and it was actually filled with gummies, which might be my favorite candy ever. He also got me the peanut butter M&Ms. Then the little box next to the power bank has a clip container with a metal brim, so that the clips are easy to find. That was a present from my sister, along with the long wand-like thingies, which are actually clips to seal food bags that have already been opened. She gave them to me because she wanted me to have something that reminded me of her in my new apartment abroad. The rest of the presents are all from my grandmother. She got me a stack of papers to write notes to parents on, and a mini clipboard with a pen and stickers because she loves to give me stationery and knows I love it as well. I love cats but I couldn’t have any at home because my mom doesn’t like them, so that’s why she gave me the next best thing: a toy kitten.
What did you get last Christmas? What was your favorite present and why? Let me know in the comments!
Love, Miss Camila
