Sample vs. Full Size #5

Sample vs. Full Size #5

Miss Camila (3).pngHello and happy Sunday. This post series has made me realize just how many products I have gotten to try thanks to Ipsy, and even though I’ve liked most of them, I wouldn’t necessarily purchase them if I had the chance. Today we’ll talk about another set of five products. Let’s get started, shall we?

LUXIE BEAUTY Rose Gold Medium Angled Shading Eye Brush 207

Full size: I got the actual brush in my Ipsy glam bag.

Full price: $12

Buy? Yes/No? Why? I don’t know if doing so many of these posts has made me soft or what, but I don’t feel that $12 is *that much* for a brush. Don’t get me wrong, I still wouldn’t buy it myself, but I don’t think it’s a hell no. Like, if you have the money and want to spend it on it, then go ahead, I’m not going to be outraged by that.

PIXI BY PETRA Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey

Full size: I got a mini version of the blush (4.5g or 0.16 oz). The full size version weighs 10.21 g or 0.36oz.

Full price: The blush is sold with a kabuki brush for $18

Buy? Yes/No? Why? I’m having a bit of trouble deciding how to phrase this one because I really love this blush especially for natural/no-makeup looks. I know for a fact that I wouldn’t pay $18 for the blush AND a brush that is tiny and that I’d never use, but given the fact that I don’t know the price of the blush alone, I can’t tell you whether I’d buy it or not, if that makes any sense.

SKINFOOD Egg White Perfect Pore Cleansing Foam

Full size: I got the sample. The full size sample is 150 mL.

Full price: $13

Buy? Yes/No? Why? I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but I’m willing to spend more money on skincare than I am on makeup. What I mean is that I understand why a single skincare product can be more expensive that a single makeup one. $13 for cleanser that leaves my skin feeling like a dream is a price I’d definitely be willing to pay.

SMASHBOX COSMETICS Photo Finish Radiance Primer

Full size: I got the 0.25 oz sample. The full size product is 1 oz or 30 mL.

Full price: $39

Buy? Yes/No? Why? This is a hell no. The price for this primer is stupid, and I wouldn’t pay it even if this actually did something to my skin. Smashbox is clearly one of those overrated, overpriced brands, and it honestly doesn’t interest me in the slightest.

ELIZABETH MOTT Pop! Goes the Shadow in Toasted

Full size: I received a teeny tiny sample. The full size version weighs 2g or 0.07 oz.

Full price: $13

Buy? Yes/No? Why? I’m not a fan of eyeshadow singles, so almost by default I’d say no to this one. I don’t know, for me it’s just silly to pay for a single shade when you can have a wider range for the same price. That being said, if you’re into singles, I don’t think $13 is such a crazy price. Yes, it’s an overpriced product, but not insanely overpriced, you feel me?

Now you know what to do in the comments below. Tell me which of these babies you’d buy and why.

Happy Sunday!

Love, Miss Camila
