Sample vs. Full Size #4

Sample vs. Full Size #4

Miss Camila (2).pngHello and happy Sunday. I’m here, I desperately need to wash my hair, but before doing that, I had to tell you about some more products I got in an Ipsy glam bag, more specifically, whether I’d buy the full-size version or not. Let’s get started, shall we?

SERAPHINE BOTANICALS Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Full size: I got the full-size version of this product in my glam bag.

Full price: $22

Buy? Yes/No? Why? What’s with that weird pricepoint? I said it in a previous post, but I’ll say it again because I see sort of a trend here. For some people, $22 is a lot to pay in a single makeup item, especially if it is a product that will only last for six months before drying out and not working the way it’s supposed to. I wouldn’t pay $22 for an eyeliner, even if it was made of gold. Not gonna happen.

AURORA Pro Coverup Concealer

Full size: I got a mini version of the concealer. I couldn’t find information on the website regarding the contents of the full-size version.

Full price: $8

Buy? Yes/No? Why? I guess this series I created comes down to quality vs. price, right? Like, I’m figuring out whether a product is good enough for me to put x amount of money on it. And my general conclusion so far has been “this is good, but not good enough for me to pay its price.” Well, with this product the opposite is happening: the price is perfect, in my opinion. I mean, I could see myself paying $8 for a concealer because I have in the past, but this product is awful. It dries down on the skin before you’re able to distribute it, and then it doesn’t blend well with foundation, and I despised it. I couldn’t even go through the entire sample, so hell no, I’m not buying this.

THE BALM COSMETICS theBalm Voyage Vol. 2 Face Palette

Full size: I actually got a sample of the Kuwakaribisha illuminizer, and not the whole palette. This item, however, is not sold separately.

Full price: $39.50

Buy? Yes/No? Why? This palette has nine eyeshadow shades, one bronzer, two blushes, one highlighter, and two lip shades. Imagine if you tried to get all of that separately. You’d be spending way more than $39.50, wouldn’t you? Which is why I think that, if I didn’t own all the makeup I do now, and were forced to only use one palette, I’d get this one. I think it is convenient, both in terms of practicality and price.

GLAMOUR DOLLS Romantic Rose Brush

Full size: I got the actual brush in my Ipsy glam bag.

Full price: $4.99

Buy? Yes/No? Why? Remember that in a previous post I already discussed a brush that I said was super expensive? I don’t remember exactly how much it cost, but it was somewhere between $15 and $20. That means you could buy three or four of the Glamour Dolls brushes and still get some change back. I’m obviously not going to buy this brush any time soon, but if I were looking for one, I’d definitely buy this one.

JUARA Skin Care Rice Facial Cleanser

Full size: I got a sample in my Ipsy bag. The full size product is 400gr or 134mL.

Full price: $28

Buy? Yes/No? Why? I’ve gotten so many face washes from Ipsy, I think every month I’m trying a new one. This was alright, but it was by no means worth almost $30. I feel like I could get products like this one at a Marshall’s for $10 or less.

Those were the products I had for you today. As always, let me know in the comments which of these you’d buy and why.

Happy Sunday!

Love, Miss Camila
