How I Rock My Lipliners

How I Rock My Lipliners

Hello and happy Sunday. Some time ago, I did a lipliner haul, and one person commented saying that they’d like to see how I use each individual shade, which is what I’m showing you today. If you want to get the same lipliners I have, you can click here, they’re all from the same set. I’m linking the other products I used whenever possible. Let’s get started, shall we?

Here I’m using the brown shade as a base, and adding that shiny, glossy effect with the NYX Lip Smacking Fun Colors lipstick in Iced Honey. I tend to apply this as a lip topper or on the center of

my lips.

I like to wear lipliner when my lippie is very pigmented, especially if it’s a red. I feel that it keeps the product from bleeding out onto the rest of my face. In this picture I’m wearing the NYX Epic Ink lip dye in Fresh.

For this very classic look, in which I’m wearing a mauve-y pink lip from O Boticário called Cashmere Rose, I used a similar shade of lipliner to give the lipstick more strength and durability.

I also like to wear lipliner under matte products, to give the lips a little more protection from getting too dry. This is the Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick by Menow-Pro.

I don’t know why the lipliner and the liquid lipstick look almost orange in the picture, but they’re really a very intense shade of red. Again, like I said, lipliners are good to avoid mistakes when applying very pigmented lippies. The lipstick I’m wearing is the Liquid Velvet matte lip slick by Ciaté London in the shade Diva.

If I really like the shade of a lipliner, and I’m going for a more natural look, what I do is apply it to my lips with a lip brush, and then add clear lipgloss on top. It looks like I’m wearing lipstick or an opaque lipgloss. I’m wearing the Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lipgloss in Lilac Lumi.

For ombré lips, I use lipliner, and then apply a slightly lighter shade of lipstick, focusing on the center of the lip. In this picture I’m wearing the Colorlicious Lipstick in Sultry Sienna from Covergirl.

Now, on this day I was feeling extra because aside from the lipliner, I wore a lip cream and lipgloss. See, sometimes I like to create new shades, and in order to do so, I layer products. Here I used the lipliner as a base so that the undertone of the lips would remain brown, then added a coat of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in London, and topped it with my Shany Cosmetics Fairytale Kiss lipstick in #9.

Here we can see how a change in the base affects the look of the lip. I’m wearing the same O Boticário lipstick I showed you earlier, but with a true purple base underneath instead of a mauve-y pink, and my lips look full-on purple.

This is another lipliner-lip topper combination. I’m wearing the NYX Cosmic Metals lip cream in Cry

stallized Metal.

And here again I’m wearing the lipliner with a clear lipgloss on top.

In the comments below, tell me what your favorite look was out of the ones I just showed you.

Happy Sunday!

Love, Miss Camila
