Hello and happy Monday. It’s safe to say that so far we’ve covered pretty basic looks, maybe with the exception of the one involving purple pigments. That’s because I’ve been mostly recreating everyday or weekend looks. Today, though, I want us to explore the mother of all night looks, one that for some reason many people are terrified of. I’m going to show you the steps to achieve a matte brown smokey eye. Let’s get started, shall we?
I did the eyes first because we’ll be playing with several different shadows, and because dark tones can get messy, and we want our eye to be as clean cut as possible. The steps for the eyes are:
- Eye primer
- Beige (base)
- Light brown (eyelid)
- Matte brown (crease)
- Black (outer corner)
- Champagne (inner corner)
- Black eyeliner (tightline)
- Brown (bottom and top lash line)
Now, after you’re done with the eyes, you can use concealer to cut the shadow and clean up before moving on to the rest of the face.
What is your favorite special occasion or nighttime look? Let me know in the comments!
Love, Miss Camila
