Hello and happy Sunday. It’t time for me to talk about the nice things I got in my Ipsy Glam Bag for the month of December. Let’s get started, shall we?
There are six items in the picture, and that’s because I actually got one of them by redeeming the points I’d earned from reviewing past glam bags. That’s something I love about Ipsy, and that I think works amazingly with this subscription service.
This is the product I got with points, so it wasn’t actually included in any of the glam bags. I love trying new face washes and I like them to be exfoliating. This one adds the anti-wrinkle feature to the mix, which I appreciate because, who wants wrinkles? Not me. When I use this my skin feels super clean, and also kind of tight, which is why I try to use it only once a week; I think a more frequent use could be a bit aggressive for the skin.
I love to exfoliate my lips, especially when I’m wearing a very drying liquid lipstick. My lips feel smooth and plump afterwards, which I love. I know you shouldn’t eat this kind of things, but it tastes so great I can’t resist sometimes. Like any other exfoliating product, I use it once or twice a week tops.
This may come off as a surprise, but there are days when I don’t want to draw my eyebrows with a pencil or other brow products. On those days, I use the eyebrow defining gel, which is basically like clear mascara, and I’m good to go. On days when I’m feeling like I need a ton of makeup (most days), I use this as a top coat over whichever brow product I’m wearing. It keeps my brows in place, looking flawless all day long.
I feel like beauty water is one of those products I still don’t properly use. Like, I know people use this as tonic, and I’ve seen many skincare routines in which products like beauty water are being used, but this to me just replaces primer on “no makeup” makeup days. One thing I’ll say, though, is that it removes every bit of residue makeup that might have been left on my face. I should probably start using it at night, after I’ve removed my makeup…nah, I’m good.
2018 is bringing a lot of layers in terms of eye makeup. I’m seeing people adding different shades to their eyelids again, and I’m living for it. This brush is the perfect eyelid brush. It’ll help you pack on all the eyeshadow, whether you’re adding a base, or a lighter shade in the center to accentuate. I’m using this almost everyday and I think it’s the key to the cute looks I’ve been coming up with.
I love a good black eyeliner for my waterline, but sometimes I want something softer, more playful. That’s what faux blacks offer, a pop of color while maintaining the super dark, pigmented vibe. I have brown eyes, so the green undertone of the eyeliner makes my eyes look super defined in shape and intense in color. It is also great if you’re into reverse smokey eyes.
As always, I’d like to know whether you’ve tried any of this products. If you haven’t, which would you like to try and why? Let me know in the comments!
Love, Miss Camila
