Hello and happy Sunday. A few months ago I went to a makeup class with my best friend, and got a bunch of goodies, including, of course, makeup products. Today I wanted to share my thoughts on them with you and tell you how I’m using them. Let’s get started, shall we?
Claire D’arcey Foundation
I’m pretty sure this is a Colombian brand, I couldn’t find an official website for this product, which is why I didn’t share any links. I like the texture and pigmentation of this foundation, and I think it works as an everyday product. It smells a bit funny, sort of chemically, but it’s bearable. It dries up a bit too quickly, and when it’s dry it’s really hard to blend it in, so you have to act fast when using it. Also, after it’s dry, it oxidizes, which means it turns into a darker shade. All in all it’s okay, but I don’t think I’ll buy it in the future.
I love products that have many uses, and I love my eyebrows, so I was super happy to get this in full size. On one side there’s a spoolie with mascara. If you want your eyebrows to be big and thick, use this. I’ve used it on two occasions and I’m still not sure how I feel about it, because I find it a bit tricky to work with. Then on the other side we have powder and a pencil. The pencil is my go-to. I think it’s my favorite eyebrow product at the moment, especially when I want a lighter finish. The powder is also kind of tricky, if I’m being honest. I think it would work perfectly for people with darker, thicker eyebrows than mine. The finish is good, but to get it you need time, patience, and an expert hand.
This was a fun little discovery. I love the texture and I love that it dries super quickly. The shade is a dark red, which is not the most wearable thing in the world, but it’s got that vampy, femme fatale vibe that is necessary to pull off every once in a while. You can build up the color and make it darker, which is awesome and is not something you can do with every lip product.
I love this shade and I think it’s the perfect nude-pink that goes well with just about anything. I’ve used it itself and as a lip topper and I think it’s enhanced my looks a whole lot. The only thing some of you might not like it’s the fact that it’s got a bit of a texture, given that the formulation has glitter in it.
This is one of those weird things I keep just in case because I wouldn’t normally include an almost-white blue eyeliner. Yes, I know white on your waterline makes your eyes look bigger, but I reach for my black or brown eyeliners out of habit. Does it do the job? Yes. Will I try to wear it more often, at least in special occasion? Probably.
I used to love this mascara a while ago, and I didn’t repurchase it when I ran out because I’m always trying new products. I was very excited to see this was being given out because I’d loved it in the past. Don’t get me wrong, I still do love it, only it’s not as “wow” as I thought it was. I know have it as an everyday mascara as opposed to one for special occasions, and it makes my (almost nonexistent) eyelashes look long and luscious.
Those were my new makeup goodies. Have you tried any? What are your thoughts? And if you haven’t, which would you try and why? Let me know in the comments!
Love, Miss Camila
