I’m Selling My Clothes Online

I’m Selling My Clothes Online

Hello and happy Sunday. Yes, you read correctly, in today’s post I’m going to tell you why and how I sell clothes I own but no longer use online. Let’s get started, shall we?

Now, after finding out about ThredUp via Natasha from Tashapolis, I got really into buying second-hand clothes online. The main reason why I love this is that the clothes are great quality, there’s a wide variety of amazing brands, and the prices are very low. That means that it’s actually cheaper for me to buy stuff online and have it shipped to Colombia than physically buying clothes.

Now, ThredUp is great and it has an option for you to send your clothes and sell them in their platform. The problem is that I don’t live in the States so I can’t really ship my clothes because that would be too expensive for me. Fortunately, I recently found out that there’s this website in Colombia that provides the same service as ThredUp, and it’s called El Baúl. You can have them pick up the clothes you want to sell, and if there are items that for some reason cannot be sold, they are donated to charity organizations.

Recently, my mom, my sister and I looked through our closets and ended up with a bunch of clothes we want to get rid of for various reasons. That’s the pile you see in the top picture.

My task was to take each item of clothing, fold it, and put it into bags. At El Baúl you print a file with the information for the mail company to know where to send your clothes.

These are the bags full of clothes, which went either to the online store or to charity organizations.

I’m going to keep using El Baúl while I live in Colombia to sell clothes I don’t wear anymore, or don’t intend to wear for some reason. I’m thinking that next year, before I move to the States, there are going to be many clothes added to my store because I can’t take my whole closet with me. Once I move to the States, I’ll use ThredUp, both for buying and selling clothes.

Do you buy or sell second-hand clothes online? What platform do you use? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Sunday!

Love, Miss Camila
