Foolproof Makeup and Personal Care Kit

Hello and happy Sunday. Last year, when I was working part time and life was bliss although I got horribly paid and my boss hated me, I went to a spa next to my grandmother’s house to get this cosmetic treatment. I had to go once a week, so what I did was walk there from my house, without showering, and after I left the place I would go to my grandma’s, get ready and then have lunch with her. She had the essentials, of course, like shampoo and deodorant, but I had to carry the rest and it was annoying, so I decided to get myself a makeup and personal care kit I would leave at her house. I’ll share it with you and add a list at the end you can check out. I hope it helps you not go carrying stuff around to a place you visit often.

I literally bought the cheapest shampoo and conditioner, grabbed a styling cream I had at home and an old brush. I honestly felt bad about having to use my grandparents’ shampoo because my hair is long. Also, they didn’t have any conditioner and I wasn’t going to ask them to buy one just for me.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that razors are currently my best friends since I started shaving. Get razors alright, but have some to spare; you’re not going to use the same old one forever.

I also got this travel toothbrush and toothpaste because to me there’s nothing worse than realizing you don’t have a toothbrush. Having to “brush” your teeth using a finger is only fun the first time around.

Let’s continue talking about shower stuff. Obviously wherever there’s a shower, there’s a soap bar, but where’s the glamour in that? Honestly, I just like to have a loofah or a sponge and some shower gel in hand, and I think the sponge is super personal, so I’m not going to go around and use my grandma’s. I also don’t want to use all of her nice shower gels.

There’s also body lotion of course because smelling nice is important.

And of course, when I put this kit together, I thought I couldn’t just have one nice-smelling thing, so I got two body mists. A tip here is to buy those travel size ones because they’re cheap and you’re only using them occasionally.

I didn’t include my foot deodorant spray or my actual spray, but we all know that’s a must.

As for makeup, I got a very basic kit together. This is more or less the same makeup I took to a trip recently, only I did take all of my brushes and got other lip products.

I would always advice to go for quads, duos or kits in terms of powder products because that means packing for less stuff or just occupying less space and still having different options to use and play with.

I have one of those super basic brush kits, but most of the times I just use my fingers to blend the products. That’s the main reason why I got a BB Cream, so that I don’t need a foundation brush or a sponge to apply the product.

I got this BYS Cosmetics eyeshadow kit and I love it because it has these nudes, golds and browns you can play with to create different looks. I use the second shade on my eyebrows as well. I also threw in a black pencil eyeliner for the days when I want a stronger look, and obviously some mascara. For the face I have a Jelly Pong Pong bronzer duo, so that’s what works for me in terms of bronzer and blush. I got it a while ago in my Ipsy Glam Bag. Finally, I added a nude lipstick that goes well with everything.

Here’s my complete makeup and personal care list:

-Toothbrush and toothpaste

-Hair brush + comb

-Shampoo + conditioner + styling cream

-Body lotion + body mist

-Face cream

-BB Cream

-Blush/ bronzer

-Eyeshadow quad

-Mascara

-Lipstick + lipgloss

-Makeup brushes

-Razor

-Deodorant + foot deodorant

-Cotton rounds

-Makeup removing cream/ wipes

-Body wash + loofah

What are your essentials? Let me know!

Happy Sunday,

Love, Miss Camila
